Just something that happened yesterday that made me laugh.....I called Dawson over for his second application of sunscreen for the day and as he sighed he said, "this is the worst part of summer vacation". I was teasing him and saying how awful it must be to have a mom that cares so much about him she doesn't want him to sunburn. And also how it takes approximately 30 seconds out of his day. I think it's pretty funny that the worst thing he can come up with for summer vacation is his suncreen applications. Then he said, "The other worst thing is reading every day." Awwww, such a rough life an eight year old leads. :)

You're such a good mom making him read!! I have slacked there! I still have a few weeks to get some reading time in I guess. It was nice to see you and the kids yesterday. It went by fast, just like summer! I can't believe how busy it has been (fun busy)! Sounds like you are getting all prepared for your new school adventure! Can't wait to hear all about it as you get rollin'!

I LOVE sitting out in the sun and reading. Of course I don't use sunscreen very well, so I guess I might be with Dawson on that one!

Ha ha! That's funny! Do you have the continuous spray stuff? My kids like that much better because they barely have to stop to have me put it on.

Kelly, the funny thing is that it's the spray stuff so it takes no time at all. But, it's a total nuisance to Daws. Too bad he's fair skinned like his mama!
