It's been a great Mother's Day weekend around here! It started off by Sara, Sam, my mom and I heading to the Tri-cities to shop and have dinner together on Saturday. It was so nice to get out of town and just be together. Shopping trips are always the best!! Abby had a little scavenger hunt for me before I left, which was soooo cute! At the end of the hunt was a Gap gift card from the kids. I also got cash that Dane has been saving up so he gave it to me before I left. I was able to get my bare minerals make-up I've been wanting for a long time and a really cute sweat outfit. I also got the girls a few things which is always fun.
Then today the kids gave me all their precious handmade gifts and cards. I really do love and treasure those! They're so excited to give them to me and they write the sweetest things. We went to church and afterwards went to lunch at Bruchi's (my choice) and it turned out to be a great idea. We were the only ones there until the very end and the kids loved it. I hadn't had a Bruchi's sandwich in soooo long and it was yummy. Dane rented Bride Wars for me and I watched that while Sophie napped and the kids played. Then we went to the park for a little bit and then Dane made a delicious salmon dinner for us all. It was such a nice and relaxing day!!
Days like these get me thinking about how blessed I am to have my three beautiful children. Being a mom is without a doubt the hardest job but the most rewarding and fulfilling thing I've ever done. Nobody can ever prepare you for how much you love your children. I feel my heart could burst sometimes because I love them so much. I am so grateful that God has blessed me with them! I am also grateful that God gave me a wonderful mom. She really is the best! She has loved me unconditionally and taught me so much about being a woman, mother and follower of Jesus. I love you, mom, and thank you for always being there for me!
Beautiful Jen! "Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her". If you know Jesus loves you, and I love you......I feel accomplished!!

What a wonderful weekend. I was thinking a lot yesterday how incredibly blessed I am, as well, to have my three beautiful children. Being a mom is such an amazing gift. I'm happy that you had a fun time with your family. Wish I could've joined you in the Tri-cities, but maybe next time. :) Love you, Happy Mother's Day!
