I think I may have finally recovered from snow camp. It was still a little hard to get up this morning but that my be this cold that is lingering. On the first night of snow camp, during the catwalk show of all former camp t-shirts, I realized that it was our 6th snow camp at the church. That seems crazy to me! We had a great camp this year. Unfortunately, I was feeling pretty miserable (came down with a bad cold the day we left) the whole time but I pushed through and it was a success. There was 38 of us up there with only 9 of us being girls. We were really outnumbered!! Our summer intern also came up with a few of his buddies and did our drama/skits. It turned out great! The first couple of skits were just hilarious!! We also had a fabulous camp cook this year, Hannah. The food was so delicious this year. The teenagers all loved the food and I can't tell you what a difference it makes to have good meals and snacks. When everyone is fed with yummy food and full, then I am happy. I guess that's the mother in me. I also helped Hannah in the kitchen this year. I am by no means a great cook but I can take orders pretty well! :) Our super hot speaker (my hubby) did a great job too. We had at least one accept Christ and definitely a lot of searching and other decisions made. Overall it was a great camp!
I just can't believe we're almost done with February. We had a taste of spring yesterday with the sun out and weather in the 60's. It was so fabulous and made me long for those spring days! I can't wait. I keep waiting for a slower season in life and it doesn't seem to happen. We're still doing indoor soccer with Dawson and started practicing yesterday for outdoor soccer. They have their first game a week from Saturday. We'll be busy with that for 8 weeks and then we'll be in baseball season, which is crazy. Dana is coaching again and it will pretty much take up our life until the end of May. Don't get me wrong, I love watching Dawson playing sports, but sometimes it feels a little overwhelming on the calendar and the budget. But this is our life and I do love it. I hope to be back soon...I have a couple of posts that I've started and never finished. Happy middle-of-the-week day!
